Why Don't We Make Time For Self-Care blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

Why Don't We Make Time for Self-Care

November 1st, 2021

Stop. Drop. Roll. Girl, your soul is on fire! How often do you find yourself wanting to do something you’d like, just to discover there is not enough time? Everywhere there is people just like You and I that spends all of their time doing what they feel like they HAVE to do, instead of what they would LIKE to do. Many people are so busy with their daily obligations all while balancing relationships, family and a career. It’s time to decompress and welcome in Self-care time to your daily routine!

Keep reading to learn the top reasons why we don’t take the time for the Self-Care time we all need!

Our responsibilities often keep us so consumed that even when we do not have imminent responsibilities, we tend to hold off on doing things for ourselves in fear that it will be interrupted. Societal beliefs have taught us that being busy is the new “cool” and that struggling with an over load of responsibility is something to be glorified. However, being burdened by too many responsibilities can result in chronic stress, unhappiness and other ailments that can be debilitating. Instead of taking too on too much responsibility, try setting boundaries to protect your time! It’s important to make others aware that you need uninterrupted time. Another practice to become comfortable with is saying “no”. Once you feel empowered enough to use the word “no” comfortably, you will no longer go out of your parameters, leaving more time for the Self-care that you desperately need!

With the many responsibilities we are trying to fulfill, the idea of free time may seem daunting. Sometimes you may find yourself feeling anxious from the idea of free time, and feel that the element of leisure is something that shouldn’t be included in your daily life. In result of feeling such ways, people tend to prioritize their accomplishments before their general happiness! In order to counteract the overwhelming feelings that come with free time, try to schedule tasks that need to completed while also allotting time for Self-care rituals. By doing so, you are able to visualize your schedule and see that you do indeed have time for all of it, including Self-care.

You may not know what to do with the free time you’ve granted yourself with! People tend to look for an activity that is going to fulfill all of their specific needs, yet find difficulty choosing something to commit to. If you’re left feeling indecisive in regards to how you should spend your free time, try saying “yes”! Although it is easier to default to saying “no” when you say “yes”, it shows that you are bold enough to take risks and open yourself up to potential exciting experiences. Once you are able to take the plunge and participate in new things, you’ll be able to tell whether you enjoy the variety of activity or if you should stick to your passion!

Financial Concerns

Sometimes people associate taking time for themselves with spending money. This can include getting a manicure, going out for dinner, seeing a movie, etc. All activities listed cost money, and sometimes that influences what we choose to do with our spare time because of how much money we have available for spending purposes. Unfortunately, the thought of spending money on ones self can be overwhelming for people — let’s be honest, no one wants to be stressed while trying to enjoy themselves! Try to search for any supplies and equipment for an activity that you may have laying around, and then brainstorm a way to incorporate what you have on hand for a fun activity! If making a purchase is necessary, consider coming up with a budget that also includes a portion for Self-Care activities.

Self-care is not something that should feel like a reward. Instead, it’s time to look at it as something that you should focus on incorporating into your daily routine! Remember when creating your weekly to-do list to include time for yourself. Do not feel obligated to spend lots of money and lots of time, just a few minutes to yourself will be just as effective. You will be better able to give to others once you also take care of yourself too!

What to Expect When Seeing a Psychic Medium Blog Amber Price The Clarity Expert

What to Expect When Seeing a Psychic Medium

October 27th, 2021

Have you come to the conclusion that a Psychic Medium can provide the service that you are seeking? Great! Thousands of people each day visit a Psychic Medium for the first time! A Psychic Medium reading is a session that takes place where the professional uses their psychic abilities to provide guidance, insight or clarity to the client, as well as assisting in connecting to Spirit.

There are various reasons that people make the decision to book a reading with a Psychic Medium for the first time. However, almost all clients are unsure of what to expect during their reading. Luckily, there are some standard practices that you can expect from a Psychic Medium that may ease some of your nerves, as well as provide some insight into what you should expect during your reading!

Here are a few things to expect, and keep in mind, when having a reading from a Psychic Medium:

You will get personal

When a Psychic Medium is connecting with you, they are connecting to your energetic vibration through your auric field, and the energy around you, to discover what messages are coming through for you. Some messages may come from spirits of loved ones, or aquaintances, Spirit Guides and any other member of your Spiritual Team, and their messages may touch on relationships, love, family, career etc. After all, the entire process itself is already quite intimate, and is intended to provide insight or clarity on your own spiritual journey. The more open you are to receiving, the more valuable of an experience you will get.

You can ask questions

Do you have a specific question that you must know the answer to? Excellent! I was born a Medium which naturally makes me Psychic. While growing up with this ability, I always felt compelled to help others and that’s why I am honoured to share my gift as a career! That being said, I love when clients ask questions during a session. When you ask questions, you are more likely to understand the process, or how to interpret what messages are being delivered, because every Psychic Medium gets energy and delivers messages uniquely. Asking questions also helps you understand your goals to leave feeling empowered with insight you were searching for. There are some Psychic Mediums that prefer you do not ask questions, so check this out prior to your session. Also, there may be times that you have a question and you cannot get an answer or do not get the answer you are hoping for, keep an open mind and trust the process.

Whoever wants to come forward, will

Here’s the reality, sometimes a spirit will have lots to say, sometimes they may not. It is completely up to spirit as to whether they come through during your session, and this does not mean they do not want to come or they are 'lost' or that you did something wrong, often if their visit will not be understood or received well and cause more grieving they will hold back until the timing is right. Sometimes the spirit you expect is not the one that will show up for you, rest assured, the one that is the right spirit for the message will be the one that comes to connect with you after all, it's what your soul needs, not always what we want. The spirits that do come with a message, want to provide comfort, validation, support and love. Many people have a negative connotation when they hear the word “Spirit” or think connecting is frightful. If Spirit senses that you are fearful or closed off, they will be reluctant to communicate and bring forward their energy, we need to keep a higher level of energetic vibration in order to easily connect with their spiritual energy.

It may not be the right fit

Every Psychic Medium has their own unique ability and each client has unique goals for their session. Sometimes people feel unsatisfied with the experience that they had because they were unable to align with the Psychic or understand how to interpret their messages. Occasionally, two energies lack connection and that is okay. This is why it is important to do research in order to get the most out of your reading! Tools like Google Review gives users a short cut through the proverbial noise. Another good way to select your Psychic Medium is to search for personal recommendations. Another good way to know if you are choosing the best fit is to check out their social media or website and 'feel' our the energy, to see if you 'feel' drawn to them. Once you do so, you are in the optimal position to make a selection on who you wish to share this special experience with.

It’s important to remember that sometimes your reading may not make sense in the present moment, however keep an eye out for the meaning or signs of validation as it’s bound to unravel right before your eyes in no time!

Many Psychic Mediums may allow you to record or take notes during your session, this is a great resource for you to review the details of your session later when your energy has balanced. Before you record, always ask permission, some may prefer no electronic devices as this can interfere with their energy.

Your Psychic Medium will help you discover your authentic Self, provide helpful insight, and hopefully connect to Spirit. After your session you should take some time to reflect on the messages you received and how it has impacted you. As with anything in life, what you put into to it will affect what you get out of your experience, have a great time and enjoy your reading!

What's the Difference Between a Psychic, Medium and Clairvoyant? Blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

What's the Difference Between a Psychic, Medium & Clairvoyant?

October 20th, 2021

Are you looking for connection or spiritual guidance? While on your search for the service that aligns with your goals, you will most likely come across Psychics, Mediums, and Clairvoyants — all offering spiritual services. I often hear from clients that they believe that all three specialities are synonymous, which is not really accurate! Although Psychics, Mediums, and Clairvoyants are all gifted with spiritual abilities, they have significant differences in what services they provide and what techniques they use.

Do you need clarity on which service will best fit your needs? Take a look as we dive into the differences between Psychics, Mediums, and Clairvoyants!

I like to say, “All Mediums are Psychic, but not all Psychics are Mediums”. Psychics use the energy and vibrations that surround them, as well as their own natural, or learned, intuition to tune into your past, present, and future. By doing so, a Psychic will then be able to convey any messages or insight that can provide clarity to any inquiries you may have about different aspects of your life! If you are searching for guidance on your path of life, a Psychic who is able to tune into you and your experiences, is the spiritual professional for you to connect with!

A Medium is a spiritual worker who is able to connect to your loved ones who have crossed over to the other side. Mediums are essentially the communication link between people who are present on earth and spirits. If you are in need of comfort or seeking any information that may have been left unsaid during your loved ones time on earth, a Medium will be able to provide the direct communication needed for you to feel more connected to your loved one who is no longer with you in the physical world.

Someone who identifies as a Clairvoyant uses the psychic abilities within them to visualize energy, generally using the third eye. What does this mean? A Clairvoyant views energy in forms of movement, colour, pictures, shadows, orbs and lights. So is a Clairvoyant and a Psychic the same? Close, but not exact. One of the psychic abilities is Clairvoyance, there are many ways to connect to energy as a psychic. A Clairvoyant is a title to describe a Psychic who is able to tune into energy through the visualizations mentioned above. As long as you practice and trust your ability, I feel anyone can learn to access their inner Clairvoyance!

Now that we’ve explored the unique differences of 3 spiritual specialties, do any of these services align with your spiritual needs? If so, let's talk!

The 5 Most Important Things an Empath Can Do Blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

The 5 Most Important Things an Empath Can Do

October 13th, 2021

Have you ever been told that you may be too sensitive or overly emotional? Have you found yourself feeling drained when you are surrounded by certain people? If you answered “yes” to the questions above, you may be part of a special group of souls known as Empaths!

Empaths are individuals who have the unique ability to understand what energy other people are feeling emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically. Due to their emotionally invested archetype, empaths tend to be wonderful friends and partners that are genuinely there for you and are ready to heal the world.

On my journey as an Empath, I’ve found that the same qualities that make empaths such fantastic people, can also cause difficulty in day to day life. Fortunately, I was able to accept myself as an empath and found a great sense of clarity by taking charge of my emotions and setting healthy boundaries for myself and my energy, instead of being consumed by them. When I was able to understand my Empath abilities, I learned to take better care of myself spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally; now it’s time to take care of YOU!

Here are the 5 most important things an Empaths can do for themselves, to protect and sustain their energy for optimal balance:

Spend time in nature

Being in nature has profound healing effects. I particularly found that I felt soothed, and energetically rich, while exploring nature’s offerings as it provided me an outlet to release any negative energy I absorbed, while also providing me a positive environment to recharge in. Walking along the water, hiking through the woods, and catching a fresh breath of air are all excellent strategies to help you rejuvenate when feeling energetically overwhelmed.

Practice mindfulness

As an empath, it’s quite easy to absorb what may be occurring around you, so it may be time to tune in to yourself instead of others! I have always been able to reconnect to myself when taking a moment out of my day to practice mindfulness as it quiets the mind and centres you back to the space you need to be in. Meditation is also an excellent activity as it provides the same technique and the quiet environment often used by many to practice mindfulness. Being an empath does not mean that you have to absorb, or take on, other people's suffering or pain, it is meant to allow you to see a glimpse for a unique and deep awareness and understanding.

Be kind to yourself and show gratitude

Although it may be easy for empaths to practice compassion, kindness and gratitude towards others, it isn’t always easy for those emotions to be felt towards themselves. Treat yourself the way you strive to treat others! As Empaths, we want to constantly be caring for others, however maybe it’s time we care for ourselves as well. Instead of ignoring the pain you may be experiencing, tell yourself that is okay to be vulnerable and comforted. It is okay to take care of yourself too, in fact, it is essential to sustain the energy richness that is required to keep using the empath ability. Showing gratitude for yourself, and in general, is an excellent and super quick way to elevate your energy.

Avoid being too critical

Being overly critical of yourself is similar to that voice of the little devil that lives on your shoulder who is waiting for any opportunity to criticize you! Unfortunately as sensitive beings, empaths are vulnerable to those thoughts when they arise. I get it, it’s frustrating to feel so much emotion all of the time. It is also exhausting to endure all of the challenges that life presents, so sensitively. Let’s not believe those negative thoughts in our head. It’s time to give yourself some credit, being empathetic is overwhelming to manage sometimes. Celebrate all of the victories you experience!

Set boundaries

Having the gift of being so caring, kind, and generous is so special, although those traits make it hard for empaths to set boundaries and use the word, “no”. I found myself becoming drained as I overcommitted myself towards others, energetically. Once I learned to set clear limits with people, the more energy I was able to replenish instead of spending too much time listening to stressful low-vibrational 'noise'. It is important to remember that “no”, is not a dirty word.

Ultimately, it is vital to accept and embrace all of the aspects involved with being an Empath, there are always good and not so good things that accompany anything in life, the idea is to focus on the good, like the law of attraction. The Empath comes with it's challenges and blessings however, the greatest things in life do as well. Looking at news and media outlets or just simply being present in our community, it is quite apparent that many struggle with expressing their emotions, which is why I refer to empathic abilities as a superpower! Be who you are unapologetically and embrace it, with gratitude.

6 Reasons That May Prevent You From Meditating & How to Overcome Them blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

6 Reasons That May Prevent You From Meditating & How to Overcome Them

October 7th, 2021

I have always been able to meditate in one form or another. My go-to is usually listening to music while enjoying a drive along a tree-lined road. Meditation, just like most things in my life, has never been by the book and I found ways to connect within that worked for me. It never deeply occurred to me that meditation could bring up sincere fears and challenges for others, until I was talking to my husband and he mentioned that he wasn't willing to meditate. After I got passed the shock of his outright conviction, I asked him, "why?". I waited to hear his response and he simply responded with, "I may not come back". Wow! This got me reflecting, so I meditated on it.

Here are some reasons that may prevent you from meditating:

Getting lost- Not coming back into the present moment and/or being lost in the ether is something that can create a lot of fear, and prevent you from meditating. When we sleep, or even in waking hours, we are unconsciously participating in a meditative state and are still able to 'snap' out of it, meditation is similar.

Tip: Create and implement a sound grounding routine prior to starting a meditation and set a timer or alarm (bell sound) to chime at a set time, this can trigger you to safely come back to present moment.

Resistance- Emotions or experiences, sometimes trauma, that may surface unexpectedly or have not been welcomed can dampen the interest in getting involved in meditation. Part of the meditation experience is to go into your consciousness and witness what you have stored, conscously or unconsciously. Tip: If this is something that prevents you from meditating try speaking to a Counsellor, or other medical or mental health professional, that can help you safely navigate meditation.

Feels like wuwu- Fear of connecting with spirits (ghosts) or having a paranormal experience may bring up feelings of fear and prevent you from meditating at all. When I meditate I very rarely connect with spirits, even though I am a Medium, the meditation process can be to go within your own spiritual experience to intentionally explore your consciousness.

Tip: Set an intention to connect to Self to increase your self-awareness for clarity, personal guidance and insight.

Losing Control -Falling deep into a state of relaxation may make you feel out of control, especially when you experience tingling, warmth, cooling, body twitches, joy, release or even panic. Feeling physical sensations may make the experience feel out of control or fearful however, it is really an opportunity to be present and mindful of the process of your body, mind and soul making a connection. Also, as you meditate, you release energy and may experience some of these sensations as you release and heal your energy. Alternatively, meditation takes time away from your responsibilities or worries and that may also leave you feeling out of control because you are not present to know or prevent what may or may not happen.

Tip: Try connecting to your body by bringing attention to your breath, take one or two deep breaths and allow all your muscles to relax, notice how your body feels and note any sensations you experience. This will help you feel more at ease with physical sensations of your body, mind and soul connection so when you meditate you are already familiar with this.

Who am I now?- Mediation can offer insightful and enlightened ideas or thoughts that may lead to new perspectives, with this new perspective, it could bring a sense of feeling lost and may feel like clarity feels even further away. When you start to question your old belief systems you make space fore new beliefs that may shift as you align to your authentic Self. This feeling is temporary as you explore your new belief systems.

Tip: During waking hours, write down 3 current belief systems and for each of these reflect and identify if they are still true today if not, create a new belief system.

Unable to Relax- Sometimes keeping your mind busy is a defense to allowing yourself to think, feel or address the things you want to keep deep within. Feeling foolish may prevent you from relaxing if you set expectations that a meditation practice cannot meet; such as, if you meditate you will not have challenging life experiences. If your expectations are not met, you will be unable to relax or engage in meditation. Alternatively, if you believe that relaxing is considered lazy, you will find it difficult to relax enough to connect to meditation and take time for Self.

Tip: Reflect on your goals or expectations of meditation and identify if they are reasonable or attainable if needed, reset your goals.

How to overcome these blocks:

-Grounding can be done by focusing on breathe, visualizing energy going out your body into earth or by naming 3 things that you can taste, smell, hear, see in the present moment.

-Allow yourself to come back into present moment if feeling fearful, see how calm you can make yourself, try meditating again and repeat this process so it affirms to you that you are in control of this process.

-Balance and clear all chakras and the energy in your space.

-Observe the energy or experiences that appear in your body or as an emotion and allow them to pass.

-Ask your Spiritual Team to remove them if they linger or imagine them being bubbled and released.

-If you need help navigating emotions or traumas, reach out to a professional.

- Meditate during daylight hours, with a light on or with a friend.

- Meditate in a space that is separate from your sleeping area and away from high traffic or high energy spaces.

-Ask yourself if experiences happen to you only during meditation or during sleeping/waking hours? During walks? While doing dishes? While showing?

Positive Self-Talk

- Journal your experiences and use prompts to help you address past experiences, emotions or new perspectives etc. Or use affirmations and positive self-talk if journaling is a challenge.

Set Intentions

- Identify what you want to achieve out of each meditation session.

Release Expectations

- Identify and release expectations for your meditation experience, be open to the experience and don't take it too seriously.

- Learn to accept who you are and that is nothing less than valuable!

Meditation is a process that helps you receive a deeper self-awareness by connecting to your consciousness for enlightenment, insight and clarity.

Meditation is not always by the book or one size fits all either! Find an activity that makes you feel aligned to your true Self and allows you to feel disconnected for a short while such as a walk or listening to music! Setting intentions, releasing expectations, and having fun with the process will help take some of the pressure and fears from engaging in what could be a transformative experience. Meditation is not always about connecting to challenging parts of yourself, it is also about seeing and accepting the beautiful parts of yourself and identifying with who you are from an authentic perspective, and that can offer you sensations of joy, acceptance, harmony, balance, release, insight and clarity.

If you would like more clarity on how to break through some barriers that may prevent you from meditating, let's talk!

Why Letting Go After a Break-up is so Hard blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

Why Letting Go After a Break-up is so Hard

August 27th, 2021

Unfortunately there’s no way around it — breakups are challenging. While everyone processes the end of their relationships differently, most people are able to resonate with feeling emotionally drained, stressed and heartbroken. Once you develop a deep emotional connection with another person, it can be difficult to let go of them and the role they played in your life. Some may have the opinion that holding on makes you strong, however sometimes it is when you let go; that you discover your inner strength. If you are experiencing depressive thoughts after a break up or are currently in an unhealthy relationship, please seek help immediately.

Take a look below at 10 reasons why letting go after a break up is difficult:

1.) Soul & Ego based beliefs

Often you may find yourself feeling a sense of attachment to the partner that you experienced the deepest sense of love with thus far. Deep within, you believe that you two are destined to be together and you find yourself accepting this love — even if it has been faced with multiple hardships. Sometimes when the partnership does not feel healthy anymore or desired on either end, the relationship is still maintained due to egotistical expectations. Your ego has the ability to hold grip to your life and the choices you make, or do not make.

2.) Fear

Many people are terrified of failing in any aspect of their life, and relationships are a measurable ingredient of the recipe. After ending a relationship, you may fear judgment from your loved ones, believing that they will view you as a failure for being in an unsuccessful relationship. You may also experience an ache for the person who consumed a large portion of your life, also known as loneliness. The fear of being alone may have you feeling a sense of emptiness which can lead to thoughts of whether you will find love or be loved again. Whether your relationship was long term or brief, you may find yourself afraid of the emotional stress you will have to navigate once you’ve separated yourself from your partner. It is important to remember that the fear and anxiety you may be feeling is valid and that you will heal from it.

3.) Unhealed inner Trauma

When your traumas are left unresolved, you are likely to bring the footprints of this into your relationships, even the break up. To be able to process a break up in a healthy manner, you must have a healthy sense of Self and being. Regardless of whether your trauma occurred in your childhood or adult life, it changes how you handle experiences and the hardships you face — as well as the ability of how well you cope. Unhealthy masculinity also can feed the feminine energy and vice versa. We sometimes encounter this in our relationships can cause codependency, which can lead to difficulty letting go after a breakup.

4.) Loss of Identity

Sometimes when you end a relationship, the part of your identity that relates to your partner is suddenly absent. You may find yourself looking in the mirror questioning who you are without them in your life. When your life has become largely influenced by your partner, you may lose clarity of your self concept once the relationship ends. A sudden change like this can take a previously established self identity and lead you feeling empty and confused about who you are as an individual.

5.) Invested time

When your relationship ends, you may feel like you have invested too much time to call it quits. After investing such a long portion of time and energy into a relationship, the fear of starting over with a whole new partner can be overwhelming. It’s important to remember that any time invested still holds value — regardless of the outcome.

6.) Your mind plays tricks on you

Sometimes you experience nostalgia that leads to believing that the love still exists. When you recall on the positive parts of the relationship, your brain essentially starts to validate the decisions made in the past in regards to the partnership such as; getting together in the first place and wanting to create a future together. It is also common that you may be drawn to that person because of the comfortability and familiarity bond you two share. Even if you know that a situation is not good for you, it can feel easier to stick with what you know rather than to venture into unknown circumstances.

Ultimately, a break up is a loss and you have to give yourself time to grieve this loss; time is wisdom.

What you can do to heal through the process:

I.) Accept that break ups are challenging to experience. If this is your first time experiencing a break in a relationship, understand that it will take time to navigate as well as heal.

II.) Do not focus on starting a new relationship, invest in yourself instead.

III.) Remember that it takes time to make and integrate new choices into your life.

IV.) Find the magic in the concept of letting go, it will be a larger than life reminder that there is endless possibilities for you.

V.) Use affirmations in your daily life that will create the your own positive narrative.

VI.) Ground yourself when you find your mind racing, you will regain control over overwhelming feelings and anxieties you may be struggling with.

VII.) Meditate regularly to gain a sense of calmness, peace, and balance in order to benefit your emotional well being and health.

VIII.) Eating a well balanced diet will benefit not only your physical health, but mental health as well.

IX.) Drink enough water to avoid dehydration which can impair energy levels, mood and brain performance.

X.) Journaling helps improve your mood and provides a safe space for you to identify any thoughts and feelings, both negative and positive.

XI.) Perform breathing exercises to help you relax and ground yourself when feeling overwhelmed.

XII.) Move your body frequently so that energy is able to flow through you easily.

XIII.) Allow yourself to feel emotions; you are human and experiencing a range of feelings is normal.

Breakups are extremely challenging, but fortunately there a strategies that may ease the process of healing. It is important to remain optimistic while you navigate your new norm after a break up. Take comfort in that although you experienced a heartbreaking loss, the same experience also left you with valuable lessons you learned. Time will pass and with the help of these coping mechanisms — you will heal!

Mindfulness as a New Parent blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

Mindfulness as a New Parent

August 20th, 2021

Time is a precious commodity once you embark on your parental journey. The joys and struggles of becoming a new parent may simultaneously include; sleep deprivation and constantly feeling overwhelmed. Although, there is recommended rituals to improve your daily routine as you adjust to your new norm — some of those recommendations may not fit into your challenging schedule.

Practicing mindfulness has an abundance of benefits such as; enhanced sleep, increased productivity, elevated energy levels and reduced stress. If you are left perplexed on how to find time to practice mindfulness when you are already feeling strained, adjusting your mindset is crucial. By transforming your daily experiences into ones that promote wellness, balance and peace, you will find that living mindfully is not a lifestyle to be sacrificed.

Here are 11 ways to practice mindfulness while also parenting:

When practicing breathing techniques, specifically deep breathing, you are receiving plentiful health benefits such as; lower blood pressure, a lower heart rate and an improved mental state. Paying attention to your breathing patterns is an excellent form of practicing mindfulness. Inhale through your nose and then proceed to exhale from your mouth slowly. Try matching your breathing patterns to the ones of your baby by syncing their inhales and exhales to your own. Be aware of what feels right for you and how your body and mind respond to this exercise.

Try recalling a time where you’ve had a shower and then noticed an increase in your mood. Showering can facilitate a period of liberation from your daily parenting tasks, all while providing a form of sanctuary. Water also carries high vibrational energy that promotes healing by removing any negative energy from your auras, leaving you feeling cleansed and fresh. Listen to the water and feel the touch of it on your skin while taking in the aromas of the soap. Recognize how your body feels during your shower experience, it may become one of your most pleasurable daily rituals.

Walking provides the body with movement that is essential to releasing stored energy. Getting outside to walk can offer you a new perspective from those we encounter indoors. Integrating mindfulness with movement combines mental exercise along with physical exercise. While walking, feel the ground beneath you, notice your legs supporting you as you stride, notice your arms either holding your baby or pushing a stroller, and feel the air touch your body as you move with it.

Stretching removes negative energy that can contribute to unwell effects such as; stress, worry, fear and anxiety. Since sitting is a rarity as a parent, you have the opportunity to move your body and stretch frequently. While carrying your baby, notice your muscles and bones providing you with strength. Try laying on the floor with your baby and stretch your body, or stretch when you wake up and start your day. The ultimate goal is to feel relaxed, reinvigorated and reenergized.

Accept that you have and will make mistakes and handle some experiences without the original intent you had. Give yourself the courtesy of forgiveness for being human and try to focus on the learning aspect of the experiences you will have. When you become a parent, plans you originally intended on may change. Instead of being harsh on yourself, reflect on a time in your life that you had to make an adjustment and it ended with a better outcome than the original plan. By practicing this, you are creating a present that has less opportunity for overthinking your choices which prevents feeling satisfied in the moment.

Letting go

Let go of expectations that limit your ability to parent authentically. Sometimes a dream we have for ourselves does not support the reality we live in. By letting go, the expectations will feel noticeably lighter and you will be able to focus on the present signals of your baby’s needs and what it means to parent authentically. Try reflecting on your definition of a ‘perfect mom’, do your findings apply to you? Are they achievable and reasonable? Once you set that clouded idealization aside, you realize the beautiful life you have created right in front of you.

Acknowledging differences

Having support systems is a wonderful tool to utilize on your parental journey. Support systems offer insight and advice while you navigate your new role. However, be mindful of how much insight you are accepting into your life. Be aware of how much you compare yourself to others, we all walk on different paths and you will find that if you continuously make comparisons, your joy and sanity will be stolen from you. Try doing a complete body scan. Start at your head and go all of the way down your body trying to focus on any sensations, emotions, tensions and thoughts that enter your mind while using social media or in a support group. You need to break the comparison cycle because it’s a game you will unfortunately never win!

Feeling all of the feelings

Parenting is filled with an array of emotions. Leap into them! When you lean into the fierce sea of your emotions, you slowly lose resistance and avoidance and sink into your feelings unapologetically with an abundance of possibility opening up with it. Practice embracing your emotions without feeling obligated to give an explanation to yourself or others. Learning to skillfully feel gives you the gateway of being deeply connected with yourself, and creates freedom to engage in your life and do what is truly meaningful to you.

You do not have to do it all! Trying to be everything to everyone, including yourself, can create an abundance of stress. As a parent, your increasing demand will eventually catch up to you and involving other people or practices, may ease some stress from your role. The upper limit will only increase as you create the initiative to collaborate with others; as well as planning ahead. Try planning as much as you can ahead of time, or assigning other people to take care of some tasks for you. You need to be more essential, yet less involved. It is quite the paradox however, the more you are able to embrace it — the less stress you will feel.

Connecting to baby

Spending time with your baby will promote the connection between the two of you and will give you the opportunity to use your senses to practice mindfulness. By connecting to your baby, this allows you to tune into their energy, and as you two grow closer; your energies may sync. If your baby is acting out of character, perhaps look within to see if they could be absorbing your energy or mood. This is called an empathic connection. By being in tune with your own emotions and energy, you are able to set a solid foundation for your baby who is not mentally mature enough to control their adaptability to emotions just yet.

Stopping the shame

Drop the shame and judgment at the door! Shame leaves you with self flagellating thoughts that jar you to the core. If you are doing your best with the information you have, there is no need to be ashamed of yourself. When feeling shameful, observe the emotion and let it pass. Setting boundaries for yourself is an excellent strategy to avoid feeling shamed by unsolicited opinions in regards to your parenting — although remember to be open to effective and loving advice when rightfully solicited. Try practicing effective mantras to promote self worth. Knowing your value will leave you feeling free to develop new ideas and prevent you from ladening yourself with shame.

Parenting is a life long privilege that should be savoured and attentively thought of with mindfulness. You need time to be aware and honour your needs. Taking care of yourself is not a selfish act that should be frowned upon, in fact it is crucial to being a present and effective parent. Enjoy taking time with your children, for these mindful moments are magical times that are for you and your babies to share; independently. Once you allow yourself to be present with what is here in the moment, you will notice the results are profound.

10 Ways Your Spiritual Journey Can Make You Look & Feel Younger blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

10 Ways Your Spiritual Journey Can Make You Look & Feel Younger

August 13th, 2021

There are plenty of studies demonstrating the profound effects of the mind and beliefs of aging. Although we all have genetic predispositions, our health and aging are not predetermined. When we make conscious choices in our behaviours and where we centre our attention, we are able to transform our bodily experience to decrease feeling and looking aged.

These 10 strategies are pragmatic ways to tap into your inner creativity, energy, and vitality that will leave you feeling and looking rejuvenated!

1.) Create Effective Energy Protection

Protecting your energy and creating grounding regimens is crucial to your mental and physical health due to the fact that it is detrimental to your overall happiness. We find ourselves giving a large portion of ourselves away every single day to our peers, coworkers and loved ones. It is important to recognize that our personal needs are equally necessary as everyone else’s. By protecting your energy, you are giving yourself the gift of a healthy headspace and ultimately, not 'wearing' negative energy.

2.) Heal Your Inner Traumas

If you have experienced psychological trauma, there may be some signs of internal suffering such as; anxiety, mood swings and stress. Finding the strength to look within — with the intention of discovering any unhealed wounds you may have — is the start of the healing process. Healing yourself is one of the most important things you can do for your own well being. Healing your wounds will elevate your vibrational energy for a more vibrant auric body.

3.) Revisit Your Beliefs Systems And Values

It is essential that you are intentional with the beliefs and values you choose to uphold. You will come across a point where your values are tested. In order to stand firm, we must know our ‘why’. By revisiting the beliefs and values you choose to live with, you are able to rediscover the clarity and confidence that guides you in making choices aligned with those beliefs. When you eliminate the worry and confusion from your life, you will feel healthier and radiate a beautiful, confident energy.

4.) Identify If Your Fears Have Any Validation

Fear is a debilitating energy that can halt you in living to your fullest potential. If you have identified that the fear you are experiencing is irrational and non factual, surrender yourself in order to find a sense of peace. Fear can be seen on our body, our face, our energy and it can age our appearance.

5.) Take A Breath

Bring awareness to your tendencies by responding instead of reacting. Giving yourself the gift of time and breath will allow you to respond in your true manner instead of giving a reaction which may leave you feeling regretful in the future. Ask yourself if this is a situation you wish to engage in and what energy you want to represent yourself with while handling a potential conflicting situation will allow you to live in the moment and absent of regrets that wear us down.

6.) Take Chances

Many of your life’s greatest achievements and memories may have required you stepping out of your comfort zone. Taking a risk to achieve a goal requires courage to face the uncertainty. By doing so, we grow as individuals during the process and become resilient and confident while exposing ourselves to the opportunity of new experiences. Taking chances is invigorating and keeps us youthful as the energy of fun chance-taking lifts our spirits.

7.) Raise Your Vibration

Manifest your own positivity, light and love by raising your vibration. Channeling your efforts into raising your energetic frequency by; drinking water, maintaining a balanced diet, exercising and meditating. These are all excellent practices that you could gift yourself with. When you lift yourself up, you bring others with you, and you both generate a youthful and radiant energy!

8.) Visualize Yourself Vibrantly

When one visualizes themselves as youthful, healthy, and full of vitality, this can bolster positive affects and optimism. By practicing this specific mindfulness, you are setting the intention to live your life through your own visualizations which will eventually take you on the path of experiencing yourself as what you initially inspired to be - youthful.

9.) Love Yourself

It may seem easier to love others than it does to love yourself however, self acceptance is critical to developing a healthy relationship with yourself and others. When you love yourself, it means they have the ability to recognize your own self worth and are able to live as authentically as possible. Loving yourself means accepting all of the aspects of yourself and showing up with vulnerability therefore, youthfulness shines!

10.) Follow Your Intuition

Sometimes intuition is subtle, characteristically and is often ignored. When you access and follow your intuition, the results are life changing! Let yourself be guided on the path of least resistance, while also practicing acceptance towards the natural direction of your journey. Listen to your inner innate wisdom that you possess deep within. When you live intuitively, what you can achieve is unimaginable. Sometimes when we are in our own head that process feels stressful, overwhelming and honestly, it feels like it aged us as we navigated through it, intuition eliminates this tiring process.

Inevitably, everyone biologically ages, however, you have the chance to feel youthful and rejuvenated again! Take these steps and become the person you strive to be. Your body is a product of what thoughts you allow into your mind and soul.

How to be your authentic self in a relationship blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

How to be Your Authentic Self in a Relationship

August 7th, 2021

Being authentic in your relationships parades that you possess self love, that you believe who you are as an individual. When prioritizing authenticity in your relationships, it is necessary to honour each other’s personal needs, thoughts, emotions, values, traumas and goals. By doing so, you’re creating a stable foundation for your relationships to flourish as opposed to failing due to the lack of true self and communication. Being your authentic Self in a relationship is the true meaning of intimacy.

Here are 10 ways to be authentic while in a relationship:

1.) Knowing Who You Are

Being authentic begins with being in tune with yourself. Self reflection is the start into an authentic life. Taking the time to self reflect on your wants and needs will set the tone of a healthy relationship.

2.) Accepting The Other Party For Who They Are

Many people think they can sculpt their significant other into the person that they desire them to be. Instead of coercing someone onto a path that is not theirs, accept them for who they are unconditionally — including their flaws. They may already be living authentically and are content with who they are. Understand that the only person you can possibly change is yourself.

3.) Defining Your Own Relationship Without Comparisons

Social media gives you insight into other’s relationships. You see photos of two people who seem to be in the perfect union, however, you are only seeing the moments that they have chosen to display. Those curated images may leave you plagued with thoughts such as, “Why doesn’t my partner and I do these things?”. However, the proper question to ask yourself is, “Do we WANT to do what others are doing ?”. Instead, remind yourself of yourself and your significant other’s true desires and celebrate the authenticity you share between one another.

4.) Setting Goals Together

People in relationships thrive when they are working towards a goal. When noting what you have achieved together, both of you will receive a psychological boost. Reassess your goals every so often together to make sure they have not become overwhelming, and adjust accordingly as time passes. Being authentic and genuine with one another about the accomplishments you wish to achieve will provide a clear path to success.

5.) Honouring Time For Self While in a Relationship

Having alone time to reflect in a relationship is a significant part of the intimacy equation. It is vital to carve moments and time out for ourselves when in a partnership. The beauty of self reflecting is returning to your significant other with a renewed sense of Self. It truly makes the time you share as a couple more intimate and special when you are self aware. After all, you are unable to be the best you can be for someone else if you’re not your best Self.

6.) Identifying Your Own Personal Feelings

The ability to effectively identify and articulate feelings, whether negative or positive, is detrimental to being in an authentic relationship. In our culture, remaining aloof, trying to avoid vulnerability is the normal. People also minimize their feelings towards their partner as well in fear of rejection and embarrassment. By doing so, you and your partner will experience major relational loss. Confidence, strength and vulnerability are not opposing forces. Choosing to not be authentic with your own feelings, within and in your relationship, can halt growing closer to one another. Dare to express your joys, quirks, triggers and affections. Those are some of the most integral building blocks of a close relationship.

7.) Cultivating Your Relationship Based on What You Both Want as a Couple

Progress in life is all about reinvention. Discussing the tone you would like to set as a couple will set healthy boundaries and assist in reaching your desired values of your relationship. Change is something that requires daily dedication. After reflecting as a couple and beginning your journey to the relationship you both desire, it is also important to reflect on the process itself. Reinventing your relationship once the tone is set is not a “quick fix”. It is deliberate practice until you both realize you are where you want to be in your relationship.

8.) Protecting Your Boundaries

It is extremely common to be empathetic towards your partner while they explore their thoughts, emotions, and their energies. Although, if you are an empath you most likely identify with the feelings of others and absorb their feelings or mood as your own. It is essential that you know yourself and what you are and are unable to handle. Effective boundaries with your partner helps you set limits based on your own needs and energy levels. This way you can limit your exposure to their potential draining energy. It is important to acknowledge that you are to separate individuals.

9.) Stop Assuming

When one assumes in a relationship, unnecessary grief and arguing takes place due to lack of communication and creating your own conclusions without clarification. Allow your partner the benefit of the doubt and acknowledge that sometimes there is “no hidden meaning”. Addressing your own insecurities will also decrease the assumptions that you create out of fear. We are all made differently; if you work on clarifying instead of assuming, you will be able to move closer together in your relationship and find a language you both speak and understand.

10.) Enjoy Yourselves

Have fun and try visualizing life with less severity. If being able to find joy during challenging times in the relationship is difficult to you, try reminiscing on a time that you and your partner enjoyed together and allow those positive memories and thoughts back into your soul. Naturally after some time, the positive vibrational energy will return and you will be able to practice that strategy in any other future hardships you two may face as a couple.

When we live in the idea that we are misunderstood, unhappy, and lost in our relationships, that is when we lack authenticity. Unfortunately we may find ourselves placing blame on our partner due to this. Relationships give us many valuable experiences and teach us various lessons of compromise, self expression, boundaries, love and empathy. Every relationship we have gives us the opportunity for ascension and growth. Relationships are designed to challenge us with the purpose of promoting us to heal and align with our purpose. We would all love to believe that relationships only contain happiness and joy, however we would be quite naive to believe that such a powerful bond between two individuals, does not experience grief and challenges. Although, when you accept who you and your partner are, truly and genuinely, you then become closer to achieving the purpose of your soul and a key to a successful relationship, authenticity.

Finding balance during an energy shift blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

Finding Balance During an Energy Shift

June 24th, 2021

If you are sensitive to energy, then no doubt you have noticed the intense shift of energy over the last couple weeks! We have just experienced a solar eclipse during a mercury retrograde and now we are entering a super moon. Regardless of the shifts in universal energy, each of us will experience varying changes to our energetic body as a natural, and essential, occurrence to our ascension process.

Changes in energy can have some of the following effects on us:

● Dizziness or lightheaded

● Mild headache

● Stress, anxiousness, sadness, overwhelmed

● Emotions are heightened or up and down

● Digestive issues

● Body’s sensitive to touch

● Want to be alone

● Intolerant to noise

● Feeling that everything around you is chaotic

● Shadow Self appears in overdrive

● Sense of time speeds up

● Feeling resistance to making changes

● Things manifest very quickly

Managing energy, and managing how you perceive energy as it relates to your reality is challenging enough, but when you add in the shifting collective energy, it leaves you asking one question: “Why is nothing working?” Many energetically sensitive people are looking for a way to calm the energy around them while they are left feeling like their energy is out of control, or one extreme to the other. Many of the energy balancing or grounding tricks are not cutting it right now, leaving you feeling like giving up or avoiding this energy shift all together, basically wake me when it’s over! No matter how little benefit you feel from your normal ‘go-to’, keep doing it because you will get some relief.

Here are some great ways to manage energy:

● Keep hydrated

● Eat healthy foods

● Spend time in nature

● Go for a walk

● Yoga

● Breathe work

● Journal

● Meditate

● Healing crystals

● Burn sage or other healing herbs

But what if these are not working? You know they are great tips, and you use them daily to release or ground but they are not working, and you are feeling overwhelmed and lack motivation. Let’s be honest, energy shifts can bring us major discomfort! When the energy is causing so much discomfort to your daily routine that you cannot find solace even after pulling out the big guns and trying every trick you have up your sleeve, you know it is here to stay until you go through the energy NOT around it. There is no avoiding or escaping this, it is here so you can learn and grow, enabling you to come out of this with a deeper understanding of Self.

Here are some strategies to use with the tips above to help manage even the most powerful energy shift:

Acknowledge and accept the collective energy

You resist what you do not know, so accept and acknowledge the energy that is here, and you cannot change it or stop it, embrace the shift

Stay focused on your own energy body and heal your auric field

Observe and release thoughts

You do not have to understand or interpret all thoughts that pass through your mind

Set intentions to focus on self-care to clear and ground energy

Observe and release your resistance to self-care

Feelings of shame or guilt may surface, observe your emotions and reactions

Give yourself permission to be yourself, take care of yourself, and set boundaries

Recite positive affirmations

To help you keep the mindset of managing energy and embracing self-care

Set small self-care goals for the day

Change the goals as needed to reflect your desires

Allow yourself to make choices

Do what you want to do without judging or setting standards for yourself based on what works, or is accepted by, others

Make choices that define your desires and support your goals

Don’t apologize

Stop apologizing for your emotions, thoughts, or ideas to make others comfortable at

the cost of your discomfort

Speak your truth as it relates to your life’s purpose

Essentially, this energetic shift is like a huge download of information in a system that is not yet updated. Resisting this download can create chaos causing a ‘system failure’, but if you ‘upgrade’ you can manage this shift of energy to stay in balance. When energy shifts cause you such discomfort to the point of feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, allow yourself time to observe, heal, and ground your energy.

Managing energy and managing how you perceive energy, as it relates to your human experience is essential in honouring yourself and living life authentically. Don’t wait for someone to give you permission to be you, that waiting room holds you hostage. Go within, listen, feel, and let go, so you can stay balanced in body, mind, and soul.

How to Distinguish Between Your Ego & Higher Self blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

How to Distinguish Between Your Ego & Higher Self

May 1, 2020

What is Higher Self?

The Higher Self is a part of you, not separate from you. It is the part of you that sees, feels, and knows the highest level of wisdom that your soul and physical being needs to exist at the highest level of authenticity: your consciousness.

The Higher Self provides insight, usually expressed as a 'gut feeling', that is clear and succinct and provides you with the overwhelming urge to act immediately, without fear or worry, just a sense of peace and clarity.

What is Ego?

The Ego is your belief system about what you think your identity is. It is not your authentic self but rather what you believe yourself to be.

Your ego evolves, as you change! Your ego is the part of you that believes you are worthy. The belief that “I am not good enough to be loved” or “I am not experienced enough to apply for that job” or "I am too old to wear a bikini" or "No one else could do better than I do" etc. Ego looks at areas of your life and formulates a limiting belief, based on how the ego perceives you, even if it is not valid and creates a long list of reasons to validate these beliefs. The Ego may create and react to low vibration energies such as fear or anger.

Is It Ego or Higher Self Intuition?

We are often faced with having to make choices in life and sometimes we are confused by the thoughts that flow through our mind. Next time you need clarity, use this quick checklist to help you with deeper awareness, is this Ego of Higher Self Intuition!

Higher Self Intuition Checklist

  • Do you feel that the message provides empathy and compassion for all the people involved, including yourself?
  • Do you feel calm and peace about the message you received?
  • Do you feel that this message came loud and clear, even while the energy around you felt unbalanced and emotionally chaotic?
  • Do you feel you allowed yourself time to act on this message, while not in a state of anger?
  • Did you receive one clear message, without any justification for this sole reason?
  • Do you feel the message provided a compromise for all the people involved?
  • Do you feel compelled to follow the guidance of this message, or have a knowing that it is the right thing to do?
  • Ego-based Message Checklist
  • Do you feel the need to ask others for their opinion, to feel they understand?
  • Do you feel the need to share this situation with a lot of people or post on social media?
  • Do you feel that you received multiple messages with many overwhelming options?
  • Do you feel you made a decision based on anger or spite?
  • Do you feel you made a snap decision 'in the moment' when you are visibly angry?
  • Did you feel sad, lost, withdrawn, unfulfilled or anxious after making this choice?
  • Do you feel remorse, or have a nagging 'gut feeling', that you should correct your actions but ignore this message and continue on?
  • Do you feel that there is only choice, and it is to remove yourself from a challenging situation, there is no option to work this out?
  • Do you feel this message offered a good outcome for you, but not others involved?
  • Did you feel 'on top of the world' or powerful by making this choice?

It takes practice to distinguish between the Ego and Higher Self insight but, trust the process and learn from your choices between the two types of messages. The more experience you have, the easier it will become to discern between the Ego or Higher Self insight!

Dealing with Grief from a physical distance blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

Dealing with Grief from a Physical Distance

April 27th, 2020

There may be times in life that we cannot be physically present to show our love and support to friends and family whether it is for a happy celebration or in times of sorrow. In most cases, we commonly experience reasons such as vacation, illness, living afar, work obligations, etc. Today, we are faced with the unique challenges associated with a pandemic that will keep us from physical connection when we want to be present the most. Our desire to extend support from afar has also been challenged, as we are limited in our ability or in the availability of items such as: flowers, cards, food or baked goods, etc.

Grief is a human emotion that is unique to everyone, like a fingerprint. The process and timing to this emotion is just as unique, so when we are pressured to react in a way that is not how our body, mind and soul needs to experience it, this can cause challenges with relationships, ideas of self-worth, personal responsibility and our overall understanding of the meaning of life! Grief is something that most of us will experience whether it is from a death, divorce, job loss and now even the inability to visit friends or family due to physical distancing! Yes, we are grieving a life we once knew, maybe even took for granted, and on top of that some of us may be faced with grieving for a loved one that has died.

Tips to Help us Grieve from a Physical Distance:

Acknowledge all the layers of your grief

We may be grieving the life we once knew, grieving the inability to physically connect as a group, grieving the loss of a job perhaps causing financial challenges, grieving the ability to witness the birth of a baby, grieving the inability to be present for an ill loved one, grieving the death of a loved one and grieving the tradition of celebrating someone’s life the way we've historically honoured them before. There are layers, acknowledge each of your unique layers of grief.

Allow yourself to feel emotion

Often, we bury our emotions deep down so that we do not have to feel the discomfort of the emotion, or to be brave for others. It is okay to experience emotions, often they are up and down and all over! Allow your feelings to be felt, do not resist them, or they may become trigger points down the road. Feeling your raw emotions at the time you have them makes them relatable and healing is able to begin, putting emotions off may later cause confusion and further misunderstandings of self and others, delaying healing or creating new wounds.

Engage in activities that make you smile

o Joy is often an emotion that we hide or suppress in times of grief, along the way we have been taught that we need to be sad when someone dies and smiling or laughing is a sign that we ‘don’t care’ or are being disrespectful. Joy is an emotion that humans ultimately want to find in their lifetime, our loved ones want us to remember them in a way that will make you smile. A smile is the soul’s emotion that shows someone made an impact on our lives. Yes, we will be sad for the life we no longer get to be involved with daily, but we also need to feel free to show joy for the memories that impacted our life, otherwise we are not acknowledging all the good they offered us while living.

Take notice of your living space, if it is full of clutter, your ability to cope with grief will be more challenging, it may affect your ability to focus within or on responsibilities, affect your ability to get meaningful sleep and ultimately creates a chaotic energy that may increase levels of anxiety. Take some time to remove clutter and open up your living space for healing energy to flow.

Make self-care a priority

Self-care is a survival necessity! Self-care promotes feelings of balance and joy, acceptance of our self-worth, confidence and helps us stay motivated and healthy. Practicing self-care allows us time alone to relax and focus on our own well-being. Start your day off with a shower, get dressed as you would if you were going out of the house, get lots of sleep, drink water and eat high vibration foods such as fruits and veggies or take time to learn a new hobby. Give yourself the time you need, only you will know how much time you need and when you need it.

Be mindful

Mindfulness is the ability to be present in the moment. Being mindful decreases feelings of anxiety, increases our ability to feel happy and promotes wellness. Allow yourself time to complete one task a time, avoid multi-tasking. While you are doing any activity, be fully present in the moment while using your senses to keep you grounded and appreciate the environment surrounding you.

Walk or get active

One of the reasons we want to be physically present is because of our innate desire to hug or offer physical touch. Our ability to be present helps us intuitively determine the level of support we need to offer and if our loved one is ‘OK’. When we hug, our brain releases chemicals that make us ‘feel good’ therefore, improving our mood, lessening feelings of depression, or offering a feeling of relaxation or reassurance. During a pandemic, physical distancing restricts us from showing our support this way, and we need to find ways to ‘feel good’ in the absence of physical touch some options are: walking, yoga, exercise or other activities that offer ‘feel good’ chemicals to release into our body.

Limit time around negativity

o During grieving, our energy is running low and our ability to filter or repel low vibration energy that may affect us negatively, is weakened. Limit time watching or listening to the news or participating in activities that do not bring your peace. Spending your time becoming more saddened will only overwhelm you and add to the layers of grief.

Connect to family and friends in other ways

Thankfully, technology has given us opportunities to connect via video, phone, email, text, etc. The ability to connect this way helps us feel connected and offers a solution during times of physical distancing.

Create your own tribute

Plan your own personal tribute to honour the life of your loved one. Celebrations of life do not have to be within large groups, or even immediately following death, in order to be an effective way to show respect. Often, people choose or request to be honoured in an intimate way, this is just as respectful and meaningful. Trust timing is essential, your efforts will be acknowledged by the departed no matter when and how you honour them.

Seek out a professional

If you feel that you are struggling with grief, reach out to a professional, many therapists now offer their services online or over the phone. Having someone to talk to may offer insight and alternative ways of coping with loss.

Collectively, the world is experiencing grief. Just as the Earth and each human goes through this time of healing, we are reminded that grief is a personal evolution, we must go within to find true healing, peace and direction. When we allow ourselves the time to go within to navigate our grief, healing occurs, when we heal ourselves, the world heals too. Do not let your grief get lost in the events unfolding in the world around you, understand your loss is an enormous life changing event and deserves the time and energy you require. When devastating events happen that affect the world, or large populations of the world, the ability to heal and grieve as a community offers profound healing energy, that facilitates a global support system, ultimately, affecting us individually. We come together in ways we never imagined, to support complete strangers, because we are now bonded together by these events. Humans instinctively support each other in challenging times due to empathy and the ability to feel sorrow, pain and suffering, this calls us to action. We are "all" in this together, even if from a physical distance.

Parenting in a Pandemic: 11 Tips for Supporting Your Intuitive Child blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

Parenting in a Pandemic: 11 Tips for Supporting Your Intuitive Child

March 31st, 2020

If you are a parent during a pandemic, chances are you already know the struggle is real! Parents everywhere are struggling with the words needed to explain the events unfolding, the tools and resources necessary to keep updated with legitimate information, the emotional strength to keep up with the questions and ever changing moods, support systems relied upon for basic survival such as; child care, education, health care, finances, food and so on. Now, if you are a parent with an intuitive child (also called psychic, spiritually gifted, empath, indigo, crystal, star seed etc.) then you are acutely aware of the added support your child requires during this highly energetic time in the world: a pandemic! Looking for ways to support your intuitive child may feel overwhelming or like you are a fish out of water, especially if you cannot relate to your child in this way, this is normal give yourself a pat on the back and take a deep breath as you read on for 11 tips to supporting your intuitive child!

1. Burn off that energy!

The number one survival tip for parents with intuitive children is to encourage them to burn off their built-up energy! Intuitive children are sensitive to the energy of everything and may unknowingly absorb the energy around them (this is known as an Empath). Chances are you can relate to this if you have ever come home after a long day at work and feel tense, sore, tired or short-tempered. This is how you know you have picked up too much energy from your surroundings, and it is time to release it. Go for a walk, dance it out, stretch; whatever the movement is make sure you change your physical actions! The quickest way to change your emotions from pent up energy is to change your physical actions.

2. Eat & drink!

Intuitive children need high-vibration foods such as vegetables, fruit and water to keep their energy flowing and clear. Allowing your kids to help with meal planning or meal prep will encourage them to consume these high-vibration foods. Do not be surprised if your child who once loved a juicy burger is now refusing to eat meat, or anything at all! Changes to the energy levels of your intuitive child will change how they want to eat. This is a very heavy energetic time in their surroundings, eating light and more frequently will help.

3. Stay grounded!

You will find during a pandemic you will ground in more ways than one! We all may be ‘grounded’ to home, to retreat for wellness, decluttering your home will allow the energy to flow. Practice soul grounding techniques, there are many, one that is common is imagining your body is a tree and growing roots into the earth for feelings of security and energy grounding. Practice the grounding that resonates with your child the most. Grounding may become a daily routine for intuitive children that have front-line working parents, or who have parents living separately in 2 homes. A routine will help with grounding, this is a chance to keep up with homework, bedtimes etc.

4. Get creative!

Creativity is the best outlet for intuitive children, it allows the intuitive energy to flow and clear from the physical body promoting overall wellness. Shake it up, dance, sing, colour, draw, paint, or journal!

5. Limit negativity!

Intuitive children will be affected by negativity on a deep level as most intuitive children feel they can sense future energy/events or what is coming. Limit the amount of negative chat, social media, news, disagreements that your child witnesses, and ensure they are not becoming engaged in too much energetic negativity.

6. Don’t forget to hug!

Gentle, loving touch goes a long way for the intuitive child’s ability to re-set and clear their energy and feel safe and loved. During a pandemic, love & gentle loving touch is essential since we may be physically-distancing from anyone who does not live in our homes. Most intuitive children will prefer a hug or handholding as they 'know' this is a natural way to heal, self and others. Love has the power to heal, the power to maintain wellness, the power to overcome and the power to evolve. Love is essential for survival, especially during a pandemic. Don’t forget the family pet, intuitive children love to interact with animals, they exchange an energy that most have never experienced, this is healing for both the pet and your intuitive child.

7. Share the plan!

Chances are you have a plan in place for your family during the pandemic, share with your children what the plan is. Most intuitive children will already know the energy in the home has shifted, sharing what the plan is will allow them to spend less time trying to ‘tune in’ to the happenings of the home, and more time helping to ensure the plans go smoothly since having a credible plan is what they need to feel security, especially intuitive children that ‘know’ things without knowing how they know (this is known as a Claircognizant). Some intuitive children, such as Indigos, will show some resistance and it is important to provide them with as much credible information as possible. Indigos have a hard time buying into ideas and concepts so credible information and statistics will go a long way, especially for the teenagers.

8.Get Connected!

Physical distancing during a pandemic can be hard for intuitive children that need to keep connected to family and friends, this is a great time to phone, video chat someone that will keep them feeling connected.

9. Listen!

You may be surprised with what your child thinks they know about, not only the pandemic, but the world in general! Listen to what they have to say and hear them out. Every child wants to be heard; heck we all want to be heard. Listening to your intuitive child provides insight into how they see things with open eyes or limiting belief systems. We are meant to learn from our intuitive children, not only teach.

10. Talk!

When your child is ready, they will want to talk about things they have been thinking about. Intuitive children keep their emotions close to their vest; this may be a process with little chats along the way. It is all in the wording, try to share words that will not affect how they will ultimately view the world in general, for example: “Never go outside” may make them feel scared of the unknown and always worry in the future. “Let’s go outside together” will allow them to feel the security of knowing they can go outside; go with someone they love and trust.

11. Be honest!

Intuitive children are highly sensitive to the energy of others, the energy of their surroundings, the energy of the world and this ability is how they ‘know’ they can trust. This is a huge amount of energy your child is processing daily and may often feel like a burden if not processed in a healthy way. If your child has ever asked “what is wrong mom?” even when you thought you did a great job at putting on a smile, you need to be prepared to answer honestly because your answer to this question is a determining factor for your entire relationship! Do not panic, you do not have to tell all of your feelings to your child, just be honest and this reply may help “I am thinking about something, thank you for noticing, if I need to chat I know you are here for me and I love you!”

Most intuitive children are introverts and this much family time and energy created by the buzz of the pandemic may bring on headaches, tummy aches, mood changes, intuitive dreams, changes in appetite, longing for alone time or becoming extra cuddly, feelings of overwhelm and tiredness. It is an important balance of managing and supporting your intuitive child’s needs and reaching out for professional services such as a medical doctor, therapist etc. It is ok to ask your child what they need and how you can support them, parents do not need to have the answers to everything, just being there goes a long way for the intuitive child after all, we are all going through the stages of grieving a life we used to know, now we have to support our intuitive children through this grief process with the tips above. Changing routines may be difficult however, your intuitive child already knows this is a universal time for change and we are about to know a ‘new’ life!

What is the meaning of life? Blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

What is the Meaning of Life?

March 29th, 2020

We often search for the meaning of life, and the answer is simple: The meaning is unique to each individual soul. Most of us ponder over this life-long mystery however, we may really be longing to find the answer to the meaning of life to feel happiness, peace, success, essentially fulfillment!

The fulfillment, we long to feel for life, will be influenced by how well we are able to embrace the three main concepts of life that we are meant to experience: Love. Loss. Connection.

Love is the most healing energy we can experience. Love has the power to help us work through our most challenging experiences and the power to help others through their own. When we are in a state of love, we can manifest amazing things for ourselves and others. When we are open to receiving love, we can give love at a heightened level to do the most good for the most souls. Many of us may be willing to give love but feel unworthy of receiving it, this is our mind protecting ourselves from hurt or disappointment. When our body, mind and soul work together we find peace and health.

Loss is the most intimidating of all of life's experiences, we even try to avoid loss by withholding love or forbidding ourselves from taking chances. Loss can mean many things and will be unique to everyone. Loss may be experienced by death, divorce, termination of a job, financial crisis, estrangement from family or friends or a medical diagnosis with a poor prognosis. We are all going to experience loss at one point in our lives, this is a natural evolution of the human experience. The way to go through the loss and get to the other side, feeling less broken, depends on how you perceive loss: going through loss authentic to your emotions or going through loss the way you witnessed others experience loss or the way you think others want you to react during loss. Our emotions and our generational or limiting belief systems will manifest how well we heal from loss, the more love we offer and receive during loss, allows your soul to heal and set future goals. Loss is real, loss is different for all of us, loss is how you feel it, allow yourself to feel the loss so your soul can go through the necessary experience for ascension.

Connection is our soul food. We, in our human experience, long for connection or the feeling of belonging or fitting in. Connections can be made on a physical, emotional, mental, spiritual level and will be unique to everyone. The connection, that most believe is necessary, the easiest way to connect, is the physical connection between humans. A shared hug, touch of the hand or intimacy can go a long way to show love and compassion and researchers have found that physical connections release hormones that make us feel happy and relieve pain. Emotional connections allow us to feel like we fit in and that we are loved for who we are. Emotional connections are very important to our human existence, as we relate this to our total sense of purpose. Emotional disconnection could present an opportunity for someone to question their whole purpose for living, emotional connection is the most important and necessary for our human experience. The mental connection stems from wanting to be understood and is often the connection that will allow us to evaluate how successful we are. If we are understood, and valued for our ideas, we become connected and our sense of success and our experience of fulfillment increases. Spiritual connections provide us with hope, faith and love. Spiritual connections are the deepest 'need' for our soul to truly live authentically and serve our purpose. Those of us who search for more meaning and wish to know ourselves at a more subconscious level, will be drawn to exploring the spiritual connections whether through faith, religion or spiritual connection, of souls who have passed away or our Spirit Guides, Angel's etc. How we perceive life's experiences directly relates to what we attract to our connections.

If someone searches for fulfillment in their own life, by modeling after another person's perception and experience, they will be sure to encounter obstacles or even blocks. Living with obstacles is essential for your soul's success in your own purpose however, living with blocks and obstacles created by living outside of your individual life's purpose, will create more experiences of anxiety, depression, broken relationships, mental health struggles (including addiction), physical health conditions, financial issues or instability with living arrangements. It is essential to live your most authentic life to receive the most fulfillment and therefore, success. The beauty of life is that you can begin again and again if you need to, you are strength.

Be you. Be love. Be connection. Be well.

7 Tips to Setting Boundaries & How to Identify You Need Them

January 25th, 2020

We have passwords on everything from emails, laptops, phones, bank cards etc. all to protect our privacy and information. We even protect our homes and cars with burglar alarms, our property with fencing and signage, our snowy side walks with salt, the physical health of ourselves and our pets with vaccines and physical exams. Today, privacy and security are mainstream and essential, so why would we be so careless with something as critical as our energy? Living life pleasing others, agreeing to things we do not want to do, over-extending our self, not standing up for our self when someone makes us feel uncomfortable are all signs that we need to set boundaries. This can leave us feeling exhausted, overstimulated, dehydrated, irritable, angry, resentful, generally unwell. Many of us may feel obligated to share our energy with our loved ones, or fearful of losing their jobs, or judged by friends and guilty which prevents us from creating healthy boundaries. The key is to understand how to set boundaries when you cannot physically see the energetic space you are trying to protect.

Allow yourself to accept your personal power and value your self-worth

Release shame associated with setting boundaries

6 Reasons Spiritually Awakened People Keep to Themselves blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

6 Reasons Spiritually Awakened People Keep to Themselves

January 1st, 2020

It’s a common misconception among spiritually awakened people that we’d ‘dislike people or people are the enemy’ and want to ‘hide from the world and stay at our home base’. In fact, the opposite is true, spiritually awakened people truly love and care for so many things that it becomes overwhelming and we tend to ‘withdraw’. Humans are often the first thing that we retreat from and essentially, we engage in our passion for animals and/or the environment. A spiritual awakening happens over our lifetime, however, it really comes down to that one profound moment where you realize you have found yourself and because you can finally see yourself and your journey, you now have a deeper understanding, compassion and empathy for yourself, in reality, everyone and everything! That ‘ah-ha’ moment is euphoric and just like anything that makes us feel euphoria, you do not want anything or anyone to drop a bomb on it, therefore, we would rather retreat.

There are many reasons why spiritually awakened people keep to themselves, but here are the top 6:

1. Discomfort – We pick up on all energy. That means if someone is in a foul mood, they are making us uncomfortable, it is that easy! We won’t own your mood, although some of us can, but we will know by your energy that something is ‘off’. Depending on the relationship we have with the person, we may try to understand what is happening or we may remove ourselves from your energy.

2. Overload – Everything, I mean everything, has energy! A spiritually awakened person, especially newly awakened, will feel everything around them. We become overloaded with ‘life’ events and emotions, reminding us to set boundaries with our energy such as; how much and with whom we share our energy. We will avoid high emotion situations as the up and down of energy becomes very difficult on the health of the body, mind and soul.

3. Truth & Trust – We look to trust authentic and genuine people we want to share our time and energy with. The people that understand our need to chat about meaningful and profound topics. Trusting we can share our life’s mission and not be accused of seeing life through rose coloured glasses. Practicing a lifestyle of gratitude is just as easy as seeing the negative in the world, this is all perception. We are in tune with the energy of those who ‘put on a face’, we can hear what you are not saying, trusting our intuition, therefore, making us feel like we need to remove ourselves.

4. Connection – We have a connection deep within our soul that is triggered when people we need in our lives cross our path. We can feel like we have known someone for our whole life, just by connecting to their energy for a moment. This works both ways, we also use our intuition to trust when you should not be in someone’s path. Our soul longs to find the people we need in our life, so we can experience our mission. We are more forgiving and compassionate to these people because we see them for what their soul is, not their human errors. If we see you trying, this means you are still connecting on a deeper level than others.

5. Marching Forward- We must see forward progress in our own life and in humanity. The energy it takes to dwell on things that have already happened, takes away from the energy it takes to create progress. Spiritually awakened people want to focus on ‘now’ and how the future can be better. We will remove ourselves from relationships that keep us trapped in the past and won’t want to hear complaints that go unresolved. Most of us want to make a difference, big or small, to the world around us, becoming leaders, healers and the like.

6. Survival - Solitude is now a survival mechanism to the spiritually awakened. Reflecting within and releasing energy are necessary and vital to a healthy body, mind and soul. We look for signs showing that we are on the right path, we listen to our Higher Self for guidance, we listen to what our body is telling us, we practice mindfulness and mediation, to just “BE”, all in an effort to be the most authentic version of ourselves.

Spiritual awakenings can happen to all of us, at any point along our journey and may happen more than once in our lifetimes, although, it is not uncommon for some people to feel they’ve never had this experience. We will always be surrounded by people who are meant to come along for the ride or those who remind you of the wrong turn. Spiritually awakened people do not hold a higher rank than others, we are all doing the best we can at different times in our lives. Each of us are here to experience a different mission and will often be gravitated to our spiritual squad who will help us along the way. Just like everything else, change can be counted on, therefore our squad may fluctuate, depending on your life’s mission, at any given time. Ultimately, you are in command of your life’s journey and will always look within for your own inner guidance and wisdom. Simply knowing you have experienced, or are experiencing a spiritual awakening, will help you accept your path in order to forge ahead.

Messages written to music: How musicians use intuition to write music blog by Amber Price The Clarity Expert

Messages Written to Music: How Musicians use Intuition to Write Music

July 5th, 20215

Some of us look for messages to be given directly, while messages usually come to us indirectly through images, thoughts, co-incidences. Once you know how you are communicating with spirit, your life will never be the same!

When this well-known musician came to see me for his reading, he was not sure what to expect but, was sure he would enjoy an "hour of the unknown"! After talking to his friend, who had just had a session with me recently, he thought he would be in for a great day and a brief break away from his responsibilities. Let's be honest, in his profession, he can be pulled in millions of directions and is always "on" for the public eye. This day was going to be all about him, what he did not expect was that his world was about to change forever. He was taking the reading in stride and validating messages, it wasn't until his father's soul made a stage presence that this was a show stopper!

His father provided intense and profound healing when he began to explain how he helped his son write a song. You see, this musician has a specific genre, but there was a particular song that he explains "came out of left field" and it was not his usual style. So, as I spoke the last verse, of the "not yet released" song, this musician found the reason he had created this song. In that moment he realized his song was written by his father on the "other side". It was apparent to the musician, this song was his father's message to his son. This father could not bring himself to speak the words to his son in life, but made sure he had the opportunity for his message to reach him - through music.

Inspiring, life changing messages written to music.

It is safe to say, this day was all about the musician, the man, the son - his whole and Higher Self. Music has always been an outlet for emotion and a connection to humanity, but now music has a whole new way of healing. It is a reminder that musicians, authors, artists etc. are connecting to intuitive messages. Healing is found in many ways, but always through love!
